Planning your caravan holiday

We all want to make the most of our holiday time, and while some people are prepared to wing their caravan holiday without any planning, there are a number of factors that you should consider before doing this:

• are you going to be travelling during peak times?

• are you travelling to popular tourist destinations?

• are you prepared to miss out on "must see" bucket list things?

If the answer to the above three questions is "no, no, and no", then you can happily take off on your caravan holiday and hopefully have a great time. However, if the answer to any of these questions is "yes" then you may want to consider putting some time into planning your holiday so you don't miss out on places you want to visit or things you want to do.

Unfortunately, planning takes time. You need to decide the general area you want to head to, do research on locations within the area, work out what accommodation is available (caravan parks, showgrounds, free camping, pub camping, etc), what things there are to see and do, how much time you will need at each location, and the route you need to take.

We Plan You Caravan has over 30 years caravanning experience. During this time, we have travelled extensively in Australia with our own caravan. We have also hired motorhomes in locations within Australia and overseas.
